Zimbabwe: PER Lusulu courts partners for coal plant

Independent power producer PER Lusulu Power is wooing General Electric, Murray & Roberts and WorleyParsons as potential project partners to develop a planned 2,100MW coal-fired power plant in Binga district in Matebeleland North province.The company was established in 2006, and four years later it was awarded a licence to develop the power plant, which is now listed by the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (Zera) as one of the licensed projects close to financial close.
