Yemen: UN experts to investigate

The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) on 29 September passed a resolution establishing an international expert group to investigate potential violations of international law during the Yemen conflict. The resolution was passed by consensus on the final day of the 47-member UNHRC’s 36th session, following intense negotiations involving Saudi Arabia, the League of Arab States and several western governments.
