Yemen: Saleh’s death focuses opposition to Houthis

The decision by Houthi rebels to fire ballistic missiles at Saudi Arabia and the UAE in November and December may have changed the course of the Yemen war to their disadvantage. It led to a chain-reaction that eventually resulted in the death of their key ally, Yemeni strongman of four decades Ali Abdullah Saleh and reinforced opposition towards the Sanaa-based militia, in the short term at least.Opposition has come in a number of forms.
