UK’s MEA faces liquidation

The Middle East Association (MEA), which has been helping British businesses trade in the Gulf and North Africa since 1961, faces the likelihood of going into liquidation for the second time in three years. On 20 June, an order for its winding up was published in the Gazette and a liquidator was appointed. However, on 1 July, Companies House suspended the striking-off action, as the registrar had received an objection.
