A second mass trial of people accused of being linked to the Muslim Brotherhood began at the Federal Supreme Court in Abu Dhabi on 5 November. The 30 people, of UAE and Egyptian nationality, were referred to the court in June, shortly before the verdict in the so-called UAE 94 trial, which ended in the mass imprisonment of members of Islamist group Al-Islah. The 30 are accused of establishing and running a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood.
