UAE: Louvre Abu Dhabi opens at last in big win for French cultural diplomacy

The much anticipated ‘universal museum’, Louvre Abu Dhabi, is scheduled to open during a two-day visit to the UAE by French President Emmanuel Macron. The opening is scheduled during the Ninth Abu Dhabi Art Fair (Abu Dhabi Art), which starts on Manarat Al-Saadiyat on 8 November. Culture and knowledge development minister Noura Al-Kaabi has confirmed that Macron will open the Louvre Abu Dhabi on 8 November; other VIP tours are scheduled for 9-10 November before it opens to the public on 11 November.
