A former assistant military attaché at the UAE embassy in London could be charged with human trafficking, following a decision by the High Court in London. The case centres on an unnamed woman from the Philippines who began working for Abdulla Salem Mohammed Sultan Al-Jaberi and his wife in Abu Dhabi in March 2012, providing childcare and domestic work from 7am to 10pm each day. Although she was meant to be paid $400 a month, the court said she was actually paid about half that amount.
