UAE: FNC reopens for new session

Federal vice president and prime minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum on 25 October opened the new Federal National Council (FNC) session. He was acting on behalf of President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan at a ceremony in the UAE’s equivalent of a parliament, attended by royals including Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed, Dubai Deputy Ruler and finance minister Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid, Crown Prince and Sharjah Deputy Ruler Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al-Qasimi, Fujairah Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Al-Sharqi and Ras Al-Khaimah Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saud Al-Qasimi.
