UAE: Emirates’ Senegalese opening

Emirates has indicated that it would like to develop a new partnership with Senegal’s national carrier Air Sénégal SA, director of the Dubai-based airline’s Dakar bureau Christophe Leloup told a late September press conference. Air Sénégal should adapt to a changing global market, in which Emirates could help it to develop as a regional hub feeding into its global network in a “win-win partnership”. Dakar’s grandiose new international airport has considerable potential to serve as a regional hub, in a part of Africa which is under-served by international carriers, as Leloup observed.
