UAE: Chinese vaccine links point to complex relationships

Among the growing number of UAE-China links is the search for a cure for Covid-19. UAE government-associated company Group42 in June announced it was launching a phase three clinical trial for a vaccine in partnership with the giant Sinopharm China National Biotec Group. In a joint statement the companies said they aimed to have a vaccine ready for use “by the end of 2020 or early 2021.”
