UAE: Iranian MPs visit disputed islands

An Iranian parliamentary delegation visited the disputed islands of Abu Musa, Greater and Lesser Tunb on 24 April, prompting the usual flurry of condemnation from the UAE. “This visit flagrantly infringes on the sovereignty of the UAE and undermines all exerted efforts towards finding a peaceful resolution for this issue,” UAE state news agency Wam said, following the visit to the territories, which lie in the Strait of Hormuz.
