Turki Al-Faisal: Nuclear know-how

Prince Turki Al-Faisal made a speech in Manama on 23 April in which he said the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) should work on acquiring nuclear know-how, to balance any potential threat from Iran. According to the Reuters news agency, the prince told a security conference that while the GCC did not wish Iran any harm, there was no trust in the Iranian leadership, and the GCC must be ready for whatever came out of ongoing international talks to resolve the nuclear crisis. “Preserving our regional security requires that we, as a Gulf grouping, work to create a real balance of forces with it, including in nuclear know-how, and to be ready for any possibility in relation to the Iranian nuclear file.
