Tullow announces board appointments

Tullow Oil has appointed Sheila Khama and Genevieve Sangudi as non-executive directors and announced the retirement of Tutu Agyare from the board. Khama is a policy adviser on the mineral, oil and gas industries at the World Bank in Washington and represents the bank as an observer on the International Board of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative. She is related by marriage to Botswana’s President Ian Khama. Sangudi is a managing director for US financial corporation The Carlyle Group based in South Africa. Agyare, who is Ghanaian, joined Tullow in 2010 as a non-executive director.
