Togo: ADFD funding for 30MW solar scheme

The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) and the International Renewable Energy Agency (Irena) have announced a $15m loan for a 30MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic plant at Dapaong as part of the sixth cycle of the Irena/ADFD Project Facility. The project, to be developed by the Togolese Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Agency AT2ER, aims to bring clean, reliable power to around 700,000 households and small businesses and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 9,242 t/yr.
