Tariffs rise by 31%

The Zimbabwe Electricity Regulatory Commission (Zerc) has approved a 31% tariff increase as part of a gradual move to cost-reflective tariffs to improve cashflow for state utility Zesa Holdings. Zerc said the average tariff would rise to 9.3 cents/kWh from 7.5 cents from 1 September.
