Tanzania: Pipeline progress

Keen to get gas into its new pipeline, Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) has offered to build a tie-in line from the new gas processing plant being constructed on Songo Songo Island to Aminex’s Kiliwani North field. Aminex said production from Kiliwani North will now be metered and sold directly at wellhead, saving it the upfront and maintenance costs for the tie-in line. Aminex wants to monetise its Kiliwani North and Ntorya gas discoveries, but has been held up by lack of infrastructure.
