Revised November 2012, this map provides a detailed overview of Tanzania's power sector. Actual and planned generation projects are shown including thermal, wind, hydrolectric and geothermal plants. The country's grid network (actual and planned) is shown with lines ranging from the most significant 33kV and 66kV lines to high capacity 300kV-400kV lines. Planned interconnections to Uganda, Burundi, Kenya and Zambia are marked. Major offshore gas fields and associated pipelines are also shown.
