Seplat: Avuru steps down

Issue 404 - 21 Nov 2019 | 1 minute read

Seplat announced on 18 November that chief executive Austin Avuru will retire in July 2020 after ten years heading the company. He will be replaced by the current chief financial officer, Roger Brown. The news follows the announcement last month of an agreement to buy Eland Oil & Gas. Seplat, whose shares are listed in London and Lagos, has grown from gross production of 22,700 boe/d at December 2010 to 111,368 boe/d at December 2018, through drilling campaigns and development of new oil and gas plants.
