Senegal: State seeks to add up to 100MW from IPPs

Issue 330 - 16 Sep 2016 | 1 minute read

The government and regulator Commission de Régulation du Secteur de l’Electricité (CRSE) have called for independent power producers to prequalify to install up to 100MW in the regions of Touba, Kahone and Kaolack under the World Bank Scaling Solar programme. The projects would be supported by a power purchase agreement from state utility Société Nationale d’Electricité du Sénégal (Senelec). Prequalification documents may be obtained from CRSE by emailing [email protected] or from the International Finance Corporation at [email protected]. Bids are due by 12 October.
