Issue 336 - 08 Dec 2016 | 1 minute read

Operator Cairn Energy and its joint venture partners have contracted the Stena Drillmax drillship for two firm appraisal wells and two optional wells on the SNE oil field starting in Q1 2017. Partner FAR said the wells would be drilled to optimise the SNE field development plan before submission to the government for approval. The drillship is in Las Palmas after finishing a contract offshore Ghana. The SNE-5 and SNE-6 wells are designed to evaluate the connectivity of the upper reservoirs on the field.
