Saudi Arabia is continuing to wage a battle on the diplomatic front to ensure it can buy arms from the United States and United Kingdom, in the face of further stinging criticism about its war in Yemen.The argument in the US is centred around an order for $1.15bn worth of tanks and other equipment that was approved by the State Department on 9 August, which has met opposition from both houses of Congress.
