Saudi Arabia: UK lobbying dispute

The King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic Studies, the Riyadh-based think-tank chaired by former ambassador to the US and the UK Prince Turki Al-Faisal, has become embroiled in accusations of lobbying the UK parliament, after signing up a Conservative MP as a consultant. Gillingham and Rainham MP Rehman Chishti faces a possible investigation by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards over the £2,000/month salary he is paid by the centre.
