The High Court in London upheld the right of the UK government to export arms to Saudi Arabia, in a judgement delivered on 10 July. The judicial review was brought by advocacy group the Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT). It was supported by Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, Oxfam and Rights Watch UK, who argued the sale of weapons should be halted due to the clear risk of civilian deaths and other serious violations of international humanitarian law by Saudi forces operating in Yemen.
