Saudi Arabia: UK arms sales set to continue

The UK government seems unlikely to scale back or suspend arms sales to Saudi Arabia, despite mounting criticism in London about the way Riyadh is prosecuting the war in Yemen. Speaking in the House of Commons on 26 October, Prime Minister Theresa May declined to answer demands to halt arms sales in the light of alleged human rights abuses by the Saudi-led coalition. Meanwhile, other indications suggest her government is pressing ahead with plans for more export orders to the Gulf.
