King Salman Bin Abdelaziz Al-Saud chaired cabinet meetings in the new city of Neom on 23 and 30 July, during his stay in the north-west. Underlining the government’s commitment to the project, which sits at the heart of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman’s strategy, some 160 foreign diplomats toured the site on 24 July. Neom chief executive Nadhmi Al-Nasr told them the futuristic city’s first phase was now complete and a second phase strategy would be unveiled before end-year.
