Saudi Arabia: Riyadh postpones regional summit

The fifth Arab-African Summit, which had been due to take place in Riyadh on 25 November, was cancelled by the Saudi government at short notice. The League of Arab States issued a statement on 18 November saying the gathering would now be held “sometime during the first quarter of 2020”, after being pushed back “according to a decision of the host country”. No reason was given for the sudden change.
