Saudi Arabia: Oger closes its doors

Saudi Oger has been unable to find a way to manage its huge debts. Local English-language daily the Saudi Gazette reported on 1 August that National Electricity Company had cut off power to the one-time construction giant’s headquarters and a number of its projects had been handed over to other firms, including a 15-year repair and maintenance contract at King Abdullah University for Science and Technology.
