Saudi Arabia: Malaysia claims to foil Salman assassination plot

Malaysian authorities said they had foiled a plot to assassinate King Salman Bin Abdelaziz during his visit to the country in late February and early March (see Finance and business). Royal Malaysia Police inspector general Khalid Abu Bakar was quoted saying that seven men were arrested prior to the king’s arrival, including four Yemeni nationals, one Indonesian and two locals.
