Saudi Arabia: King’s brother Miteb Bin Abdelaziz dies

Prince Miteb (sometimes Mutaib) Bin Abdelaziz died on 2 December, aged 88. Miteb was one of four children of Ibn Saud and his wife Shahida. Prior to his death hewas the oldest surviving son of the kingdom’s founder. Funeral prayers were held for Miteb at Imam Turki Bin Abdullah mosque in Riyadh on 3 December, led by his younger half-brother King Salman Bin Abdelaziz. Prayers were also said at the Grand Mosque in Mecca that evening, led by the king’s adviser Prince Khalid Al-Faisal and Mecca region governor Prince Turki Al-Faisal.
