Issue 995 - 19 Jun 2015 | 1 minute read

King Salman’s sister Princess Jawaher Bint Abdelaziz Al-Saud died on 4 June. Funeral prayers for the princess, one of the daughters of Ibn Saud and Hessa Bint Ahmed Al-Sudairi, were performed at Imam Turki Bin Abdullah mosque in Riyadh on 5 June, and she was buried at Al-Oud cemetery. Many senior Al-Saud attended her funeral, including three of her four surviving full brothers, King Salman, Abdelrahman and Ahmed. The other surviving brother of the so-called Sudairi seven is Turki, who has lived in Cairo and maintained a low profile for years, though he did return home for his brother Sultan’s funeral in 2011.
