Saudi Arabia: Hotel bills shock reluctant Ritz guests

As the Ritz Carlton hotel in Riyadh cleans up and prepares to accept regular customers once again, the question of how much it has cost the government to host the corruption suspects in such luxurious surroundings appears to have been clarified and the answer is: very little. The question of the hotel bill was an issue of some interest, as VIP detainees long-used to the finer things in life had made extensive use of the hotel’s facilities, not just to eat at its restaurants or via room service, but even to have tailoring done to supplement the clothing they were arrested in.
