Saudi-led coalition officials reported that a Sikorsky Black Hawk helicopter belonging to the Saudi Armed Forces crashed while on a mission in Marib province, on 18 April, resulting in the death of four officers and eight enlisted men. Saudi media identified the pilot as a member of the Saudi Arabian National Guard. Coalition officials said investigations continued to determine the cause of the accident, but Yemeni rebels claimed the chopper was shot down over Tadawin, north-east of the coalition’s base near Marib city.
