Saudi Arabia: GEA hit by cyber attack

The spearhead of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman’s programme to substantially increase public entertainment for Saudi Arabia’s predominantly youthful population, the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), has been the target of cyber attacks from outside the kingdom, the GEA said on 29 September. Via Twitter, the GEA said it was working to end the attacks, which began early on on 28 September. “The source of the subversive attacks, which aim to harm the authority and its efforts, is being identified,” it said.
