A former wife of Fahd Bin Abdelaziz, Janan Harb, has succeeded in her long-running court battle to obtain a financial payout she says was promised to her by the late king. A High Court judge in London ruled she was entitled to £15m ($22.7m) and the value of two Chelsea flats; he said her claim was “credible”. Harb had sued the late king’s son Prince Abdelaziz Bin Fahd for breach of contract after he failed to pay her a lump sum and transfer to her the title of two properties on Cheyne Walk – assets promised to her under an agreement made between Harb and the prince during a meeting at The Dorchester in 2003.
