Saudi Arabia: Berlin backs down and restarts arms sales

Germany has patched up relations with Saudi Arabia, by restarting arms sales and issuing an apology for “misunderstandings” over the past year. Berlin imposed a ban on weapons deals involving participants in the Yemen war, including Saudi Arabia, during talks to form a new coalition government in early 2017. That commitment appears to have since been quietly dropped.
