Saudi Arabia: New governor in Najran

Prince Jiluwi Bin Abdelaziz Bin Musaid Bin Jiluwi Al-Saud, deputy governor of Eastern Province (EP) since 2004, was named governor of Najran on 12 November, a post vacant since late 2013, when the king’s son Mishaal Bin Abdullah moved to Mecca. Jiluwi is not an unexpected choice; as early as March 2009, a US embassy cable published by WikiLeaks said the king wanted to offer him Najran, but that then EP governor Mohammed Bin Fahd (whose mother was Jiluwi’s sister Al-Anoud) “did not want to lose his highly regarded deputy”
