Regional: AfDB and AUDA-Nepad power plan

The African Development Bank (AfDB) announced on 12 December that it has agreed to jointly develop a Continental Power System Master Plan with the African Union Development Agency’s New Partnership for Africa’s Development. The master plan is intended to inform the latest iteration of the Programme for Infrastructure Development Action Plan (PIDA). The agreement was launched on 29 November during a workshop at PIDA Week in Cairo, where the master plan’s terms of reference were also set.
