Reema Bint Bandar: Soft power profile

Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema Bint Bandar Al-Saud was the subject of a flattering profile by the Politico website, published on 31 October. In her first major media appearance since taking up her father, Prince Bandar Bin Sultan Bin Abdelaziz’s old job in February, the article reviewed her childhood in Washington and later career as a taboo-breaking businesswoman in Saudi Arabia. It included her strident defence of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman (MBS), Saudi actions in Yemen and the circumstances of the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
