Qatar: Turk’s cement alliance with military control centre project

In a further sign of co-operation between Doha and Ankara, Turkish state-owned defence company Havelsan in mid-August signed a contract to supply the Qatar Armed Forces with a command and control centre. Havelsan has previously announced it would open an office in Doha.According to assistant general manager for the firm’s air electronics industry division Mehmet Akif Nacar, Havelsan has held talks with Qatar on a range of issues, including training and marine systems.
