Qatar: On the road in May

Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al-Misnad, mother of Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, has had a busy May. In her role as Qatar Foundation chair she spoke at the World Humanitarian Summit in Turkey on 23 May, where she called for the protection of schools in conflict zones. “The destruction of schools are not just ‘accidents’ of war. Education is under attack. Our schools are the battlefield. It is time to fight back,” she was quoted as saying.
