Qatar: Ever closer to Turkey

Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan co-chaired the fourth Qatar Turkey Supreme Strategic Committee meeting in Istanbul on 26 November. The two countries have become key allies and Tamim told Erdogan: “Be assured, Mr President, that if Turkey needs anything in the future we will always stand with our friends and brothers.” The two governments signed co-operation agreements covering electronic warfare and the exchange of armed forces personnel, as well as a trade and economic partnership.
