Challenge: A development finance institution required a detailed political risk analysis and overview of the islands’ energy sector for a potential investment in a renewable energy project.
Solution: We provided a written report which considered the implications of the then recently passed constitutional amendments, the outlook for the upcoming election and its fallout, and an overview of the history of political instability and tensions between the islands. We also provided analysis of the islands’ power generation sector and the financial state of its electricity utilities.
