The energy agency of the three-nation Great Lakes Economic Community (CEPGL), Energie des Grands Lacs (EGL), is to tender for a private sector partner to oversee the rehabilitation and subsequent operation and maintenance of the Ruzizi I and II hydropower plants on the Ruzizi River, which forms the border between the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda and Burundi.
