Map
Issue 349
16 August 2016

Revised in August 2016, this map provides an overview of the power sector in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia, illustrating the region’s hydroelectric power potential.

The locations of actual and planned power generation facilities are shown by type – including hydroelectric, thermal, solar (PV), and waste-to-power and biomass – alongside existing and future transmission lines, ranging from under 50kV to 225kV.

Actual and planned cross-border interconnectors are shown including the proposed OMVG Interconnection Project and links to Guinea-Bissau, Mali and Côte d’Ivoire.

The map is a PDF file, made using eps graphics, meaning that there is no loss of resolution as the file is enlarged.
