Oman: Meeting with Kerry

Oman’s minister responsible for foreign affairs Yusuf Bin Allawi was in Washington on 20 June for a meeting with secretary of state John Kerry. Oman has been a useful go-between for the United States, particularly in the last year when it helped to kick-start nuclear negotiations with Iran. “It’s a great pleasure for me to welcome him here because his majesty the sultan of Oman has given the United States important advice and counsel, has helped us to be able to do things that might otherwise have been difficult in terms of reaching out to people.
