| 1 minute read
Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq Al-Said issued a Royal Decree (59/2020) on 3 June establishing a private office, to be headed up by Dr Hamad Bin Said Bin Sulaiman Al-Aufi, latterly the minister of agriculture and fisheries. Local observers are as yet unsure of the new office’s purpose, but it appears to be independent of the Royal Diwan and other institutional structures, which are also being reformed as Haitham settles in.
