Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq Al-Said’s signature and image are both absent from the redesigned OR50 ($130) bank note released this month. Oman’s largest denomination note carries a portrait of the late Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Al-Said rather than his successor. It also carries the signature of Central Bank of Oman deputy chairman Sultan Bin Salim Al-Habsi, in contrast to other notes which have carried the sultan’s signature.
