Officials arrested in Kuwait visa probe

Two civil servants have been charged with accepting bribes from Bangladeshi politician and businessman Mohammad Shahid Islam (also known as Kazi Papul), in the latest twist in a growing political scandal in Kuwait around the trade in visas for migrant workers. One of the unnamed officials works at the Ministry of Interior and another is reported by local media to be “in charge” at an unnamed ministry. Both deny the allegations.
