OPIC: East Africa office opens

The US Overseas Private Investment Corporation (Opic) on 22 September announced the opening of its first East Africa office in Nairobi, with Suresh Samuel as managing director. Opic also has offices in Abidjan and Johannesburg. The US development finance institution has about $700m of active financing and political risk insurance commitments in Kenya.
