North Core interconnection project

Tendering is expected to begin soon for a $567.5m project to interconnect the electricity systems of Benin, Burkina Faso, Niger and Nigeria. The African Development Bank (AfDB), Agence Française de Développement and the World Bank Group’s International Development Association are funding the project, called the North Core/Dorsale Nord 330kV Regional Power Interconnector Project. The AfDB issued a general procurement notice on 17 April.The project will have four components.
